All About Me

My Journey

I qualified as a level 3 Sports Massage Therapist, completing my iTEC level 3 Anatomy and Physiology & level 3 Diploma in sports massage in October 2020 before going on to further my offering and completing the iTEC Level 4 Certificate in sports Massage, Myofascial Cupping, Kinesiology Taping, Hot & Cold Stone Therapy, Indian Head Massage & most recently Pregnancy Massage. I enjoyed undertaking most of this training with the Cotswold Academy in Cirencester. I am also proud to be a Certified Oncology Massage therapist meaning I can help clients with or who have had cancer. I also hold a First Aid at work Certificate and a Certificate in infection Control and I am a Fully insured member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). I have also committed to undertake continuous professional development in order to stay up to date with methods and techniques to help both myself and the clients I treat.

I enjoy playing Football & squash (badly) and I love lifting weights. I also enjoy cycling but having played numerous other sports over the years from, tennis and even participating in the contact sport of roller derby, I realised my then day job of sitting at a desk had hampered my ability in certain areas. The bad posture adopted by a typical desk worker, shortening and tightening muscles had the potential to lead to injury in my chosen sports. Having studied Sports and Leisure many years ago, it was from this I decided to move into Sports Massage so I could help others to be more mobile, pain free and perform better in their chosen activity & every day life, through the techniques offered in my massage which I absolutely love doing. I treat the person as a whole and not just focus on the pain.
